San Francisco, CA, November 18, 2020 – GYANT (acq. by Fabric), the AI-powered virtual assistant company, today announced an expanded collaboration with Edward-Elmhurst Health, one of the largest integrated health systems in Illinois. Edward-Elmhurst Health deployed GYANT’s COVID-19 Screener and Emergency Response Assistant (SERA) this spring to combat higher than normal patient volumes and help patients receive trusted screening, information and care around COVID-19. Due to the success and positive reception across the health system, Edward-Elmhurst Health has pivoted to expand triage and care utilization functionality by deploying GYANT’s flagship Front Door solution across member hospitals and healthcare facilities.
“2020 has shaken the healthcare market to its core; patients now expect and desperately need virtual care navigation options that are simple and meaningful,” said Stefan Behrens, CEO and co-founder at GYANT. “By expanding their deployment, Edward-Elmhurst Health’s communities can now virtually connect with the right providers and resources from any location, at any time, for all care navigation needs.”
As a result of the GYANT COVID-19 SERA success, Edward-Elmhurst Health has since expanded functionality by deploying the comprehensive GYANT Front Door care navigation virtual assistant to connect patients with the most appropriate care, faster. Since late August, 14,000 consumers have leveraged the Front Door solution at Edward-Elmhurst Health with 47 percent of engagement falling outside of clinic hours and 91 percent of patients initiating COVID screening completing the process. The 24-7 care navigation assistant has played a tremendous role in improving access at all times of day for these patients.
“We are pleased to offer the comprehensive GYANT Front Door solution to our community and give our patients the autonomy to find the right care in a novel, convenient way,” said Cheryl Eck, Associate Vice President, Strategy & Planning at Edward-Elmhurst Health. “Our aim is to advance health care by using innovative solutions that positively impact each patient’s health and experience – and the GYANT platform allows us to do just that.”
